The School extends its congratulations to Class of 2025 student, Harry Field,  on being awarded the King Constantine Medal.

2025 marks the first full year of Marri Mittigar’s existence. Established in May 2024 by Barker College, this unique school for children from a refugee background, is made up of many nationalities, ages and experiences.

From the very first evening, the delegation was welcomed with a magical desert experience, camel rides across the sand dunes, fireworks lighting up the night sky, and traditional performances under the stars.

Year 12 student, Jessie has made an extraordinary mark on Barker College’s creative landscape with the self-publication of her debut poetry collection, Daughters of the Delta.

Barker College recently hosted over 200 delegates from more than 15 countries for the Global Student Conference.

In line with the 2025 NAIDOC theme—The Next Generation: Strength, Vision, and Legacy—this heartfelt conversation explores reconciliation, intergenerational knowledge, and the strength found in cultural pride.
