About this event
Barker College is delighted to invite the Barker community to a special evening of music and remembrance featuring internationally acclaimed Australian operatic tenor and Barker community member, Andrew Goodwin.
The evening will feature the world premiere of Songs of War, Andrew’s original song cycle setting poetry by Wilfred Owen, Alan Seeger and Barker alumnus Lieutenant Rupert Llandels Waldron Nelson (Class of 1941).
The program will also showcase performances and new works from members of the Barker music community, including a newly commissioned Requiem for choir and organ.
Join us in the War Memorial Chapel for this unique celebration of music, poetry and remembrance.
