Barker’s Indigenous Education programs have flourished, with dedicated campuses Darkinjung Barker and Dhupuma Barker providing culturally safe and tailored academic programs for First Nations students, focused on a connection to country. These initiatives, developed in partnership with families and community members, embed cultural practices in the curriculum and ensure students’ identities are celebrated.
Barker’s commitment extends from the classroom to school-wide activities that foster belonging and pride, offering ongoing mentoring and support for over 30 First Nations students at the Hornsby campus.
