High Performing Student Athletes

The SUMMIT Program at Barker College is designed to support high performing student athletes successfully balance their academic and sporting commitments.

Grounded in Barker’s core values of Commitment, Compassion, Courage, Integrity, and Respect, SUMMIT provides a structured and supportive framework that enables students to thrive both in the classroom and on the sporting field.

SUMMIT aims to help student athletes reach their academic potential while effectively managing the demands of training, competition and personal wellbeing. Reflecting Barker’s commitment to a personalised education, the program recognises and nurtures each student’s unique talents and aspirations, ensuring tailored support is central to every student’s journey.

SUMMIT staff take a collaborative approach engaging students, their families, Heads of House and coaches to create a unified network of support.

Throughout their SUMMIT journey, student athletes are encouraged and supported to pursue excellence in all aspects of learning and life.
