Round Square International Conference

The theme for the Round Square International Conference in 2026 is “Visions of the Future from an Ancient Land”.

Barker College is excited to announce that the School will be hosting the 2026 Round Square International Conference (RSIC) from Monday 28 September to Sunday 4 October.

The last time Australia hosted the RSIC was in 2005. The event will bring together 1,200 students and teachers from fellow Round Square Schools from across the globe. It will be a celebration of culture, connection, leadership and character. The atmosphere will resemble that of the Sydney Olympic’s filled with energy, excitement, hospitality, and a shared desire to learn from one another.

The theme for RSIC 2026 is “Visions of the Future from an Ancient Land”. It invites us to reflect on the future of our nation, one grounded in the wisdom of the world’s oldest continuous culture, shaped by our colonial past, and enriched by the vibrant spirit of multiculturalism.

This conference is about learning from the past, standing united in the present, and stepping forward with hope, purpose and vision for a better future. We will also be celebrating 60 years of Round Square, a global network that now includes over 270 schools worldwide.

Hosting this milestone event is not only a privilege but also a remarkable opportunity for the entire Barker community, students, staff, and families to come together and share who we are with the world!
